When a person is arrested and has a medical complaint and or a history of a medical illness then prior to being able to continue through the booking process an “Okay to Book” is needed. Our staff will conduct pre-booking screening to determine if the arrestee can be medically cleared for booking. Officers can now transport arrestees to their local city jails where the entire booking process and medical screening process will take place. If the arrestee requires a medical care our staff will inform the officer and or watch commander on duty of such a need and direct the person to a local emergency department.
